Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

Questions about a trust

My mother had a trust drawn up in 1996 and I have now found that even though I am mentioned and deemed a "beneficary," the trustees can see to it that I wouldn't inherit anything. My older sister is listed as the main beneficary.

Is there anything that I can do to get the trust put in the hands of a competent trust company to see to it that the trust is no longer manilulated by a "friend" and a cousin who are the trustees of this trust?

Thank you for your time.

Re: Questions about a trust

If the trust provides, you may be able to petition the court for the removal of the trustee based on his/her/their misuse of trust property. You should contact an attorney in your state for further evaluation of the trust document and guidance on removing the trustee.
