Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Colorado

I recently found out that my father passed away. He lived in Florida, and I live in Colorado. When he passed he had a home. I spoke with a "friend" of his that said his (the "friend's") sons had gotten my father a reverse mortgage. It is also my understanding they have already gone in and "cleaned up" the place. How can I find out if there is a reverse mortgage? What, if any, rights do I have to his belongings and bank accounts? And, if I have any rights how do I gain access to them?

This situation is governed by Florida law. I believe Florida probate law requires the involvement of an attorney, but I could be wrong. So if you can post this question for an attorney in the state of Florida, it may be more helpful for you.

You may have rights. Your father's estate is governed by Florida law. You may wish to contact an attorney in Florida to determine your rights and whether you have access to information concerning your father's estate.
