Legal Question in Business Law in Connecticut

validity of lease

I recently entered into a lease agreement with another party. The propery that they are leasing was purchased with a bank loan, signed by myself and my partners. The party who is leasing from me now says the lease is invalid, because I do not ''own'' the property and they are asking for monies to be returned to them that they have are ready paid per the agreement. Are they correct that this property was not mine to lease, even though my signature is on the loan?

What legal recourse to they and I have?

Re: validity of lease

You have the power to lease the building. I would need further information to fully assess their claims but it seems they are invalid and baseless.
