Legal Question in Technology Law in Connecticut

SIgning up to a isp with fake info

Over the last few years I have been signing up for a certian internet provider that has a 90 day free trail. I have been using totally made up info to get the free accounts. Some accounts will last 90 days then cancel out some will last just a few days.I average 2-3 a month. Am I breaking the law? my friend said i could go to jail for fraud?

Your friend is right. You are obtaining services for free via pretext when you know the companies would not give them to you free if they knew who you were. This is a form of stealing and is a crime.
