What does the abbreviation ''id'' and a page number mean in legal briefs, legal analysis and decisions?

It is a short form citation, and refers to the source discussed most recently in the same document. For example, if a citaion refers to page 123 of a particular book and the next citation says "Id. at p. 210", it is referring to page 210 of the same book.
