Legal Question in Consumer Law in Connecticut

I purchased a home 6 years ago...I continued a contract for inspection & treatment of termites renewable annually. I also contracted a separate contract for other insects. I did not renew the insect contract after the second year. They came & did 2 subsequent treatments. I contacted them and told them I would not pay for these treatments as I had made it clear to the technician that I did not want them & had not renewed. I did renew the termite contract. The did not honor that renewal and have put me into collections and created a mark against my credit rating. Also I have termite damage now..it has been 2-3 years. Are they at all liable and how can I clear the bad debt for their unauthorized treatments & subsequent billing???

Thank you

It's not clear to me if they did an "other insect" or a termite inspection/treatment when they came out.

Nevertheless, if you believe they proceeded when you did not renew then you would need to sue them to force them to clear up the debt and the bad credit mark.

I don't know if they are liable for the termite damage. You would have to hire a termite expert to determine that.
