Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Connecticut

judgements

Hello,

I made a pymnt arrangement to pay on a debt, just before getting a summons. After speaking to the collectors, I was told, nothing could be done to release the summons, so I would have to sign a stipulated judgement. I want to avoid getting the judgement because I know it will be on my credit for 7yrs after I pay the debt in full. I do not have money to settly, so What are my choices?

Re: judgements

You can write a letter to the credit bureau when it appears and state that you worked out a payment plan prior to the judgment entering.
