Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Connecticut

I am being sued by my credit card company. I am self employed, and last summer I lost all my work. I called both of my credit card companies and requested that they put my payments on hold until Oct when my work was beginning again. One credit card agreed, but Chase did not, and did not give me any alternative options. By the time I got my first check again in Oct, the minimum payment was so high, I couldn't make it. I've tried calling them and working it out but they referred the case to a law office. What are my options?

Thanks

I don't think you really have any options. If you owe the money then you owe the money. They do not have to reduce the payments if they choose not to.
