Legal Question in DUI Law in Connecticut

Driving under suspension

Hi, ill try and keep this short as possible. I have 3 dui convictions in connecticut , i am a double second offender(last 2 in one summer), and i received a lifetime suspension before one day in jail and any real suspension(previosly had a work permit). My exact question is if i was arrested for driving under susp.,and was operating a vehicle registered in anothers name, would that person be subject to legal violations, and if he claimed he wasnt aware that i had taken the vehicle, would i be charged with vehicle theft, and if so, can said individual refuse to file charges? Any response would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Driving under suspension

The owner of the vehicle could well have permitted you to drive the vehicle under the mistaken impression that you were driving with a valid license and not under suspension. No need for the fear of stolen property most likely.
