Legal Question in Employment Law in Connecticut

Employer did not pay wages

Hi,

Sub : Did not pay wages/salary

I was on H1B for company A. I was working for company A's client. After 1.5 months of job, my employer wanted me to sign non-compete contract. I refused to sign any kind of contract so they fired me and terminated my H1B.

Now they did not pay me for that 1.5 months but they received payment from their client.

Please let me know what should I do ?

Thanks

Re: Employer did not pay wages

If the payments are in the nature of wages, you can file a complaint with the NJ Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hours Compliance. In addition, you can file suit or have your lawyer file on your behalf.

My firm handles matters of this type. If I can be of further help to you, call or email.
