Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Connecticut

I live in a low-income public housing unit. My lease states that I am responsible for the upkeep of the lawn but not the trees. Two weeks ago a tree branch fell from one of the trees on the property and crashed into my sunroof and cracked my windshield. I called the emergencey number and one of the housing maintenance men came out and cleaned up the glass for me and told me that it would be covered by their insurance. The next day Michael from housing came over and said that it was an "act of god" and was not covered. This morning I had my car parked in a different spot in the driveway and another tree branch fell onto my car crashed into where my sunroof was, dented the roof and broke one of my windshield wipers. What legal recourse do I have if any?

If you know the name of the insurance company you should send a letter for both claims. If you don't, you should send the housing authority a letter telling them to forward your claims to their insurance company. If you don't hear from them in 10 days or so, you should file suit in small claims court.
