Legal Question in Traffic Law in Connecticut

Conflict of interest-Prosecutors

I am currently defending a ''Reckless Driving'' infraction in Connecticut. The prosecutor assigned to my case resides in the same hometown as I. Is this a conflict of interest? I'm concerned that she may have a very close relationship with the local police Dept. which may skew any police findings and further information they may submit due to a relationship they may have with the Prosecutor.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to this message.

I look forwrd to your reply!

Sincerely,

Joe Campano

Re: Conflict of interest-Prosecutors

No, There is no conflict just because the state's attorney resides in the same town or know people in the town. Most state attorneys have a working relationship with the police in the towns their court serves. As a defendent, they are your adversary representing the state against you. Tom Noonan
