Re: what I am going to say?

You most likely will be charged with evading responsibility under Conn. General Statutes Sec. 14-224(b). This is a misdemeanor offense (meaing it is a crime, not just a traffic infraction like rolling through a stop sign), carries a fine between $75 and $600 dollars, and can even result in a prison sentence of up to 1 year (though it is extremely unlikely you would be imprisoned for just denting another car). Additionally, being convicted under 14-224(b) of evading will result in your license automatically being suspended for at least 90 days. If you speak with the police, you may very well make statements that would make it easy to convict you of evading. I would suggest you not call the police department, but have an attorney call on your behalf. You should be prepared to pay for any damage to the other vehicle directly or through your insurance. I would be happy to speak to you or you can email me for further information.
