Legal Question in Consumer Law in District of Columbia

Best Buy/Optoma corporation

I purchased a Video projector from Bestbuy.

After watching about thirty mintues of movie using my Video projector, I noticed a strange Barcode like spectrum of colors during random moments of

the film. I turned the projector off and I still continued to see this strange Barcode like spectrum. The following morning I began to develop a twitch in my right eye which was followed by severe headaches. Though it has been four days since i last viewed the projector, that Barcode spectrum image still clouds my visions.

Yesterday I did some internet searching for information about my new Video projector. I found more than one article that talks about ''The Rainbow effect''..'' One little-known difference between DLP and LCD technology, however, is that DLP can produce a subtle but unusual visual artifact onscreen called the rainbow effect. This effect is an optical anomaly caused by the spinning wheel''

I find both Bestbuy and the Optoma company(makers of this brand of video projector) at fault for putting this product out. My vision has been distorted

at random times(including when Im driving) and I fear long term damage to my Retina or other parts of my eye.

Do I have any recourse and or case?

I would candidly surmise that based upon your description of the facts in this particular situation, it's very unlikely from a legal perspective, that you would find a "pot of gold", so to speak, at the end of this particular rainbow(effect).
