Dear Inquirer:

You must find a US employer to petition you for an H-1B visa, which is reserved for people in jobs that require a Bachelor's Degree or higher. You may start by checking local job listings in the newspaper or on the Internet.

I recommend that you visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com or email [email protected] if you would like to schedule an appointment for a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.

Unfortunately, I am a lawyer, not an employment counselor. I can tell you this: if you find a sponsor to file a labor certification, you will be waiting a long time. If you have not yet overstayed your visa, that is you are within the visiting period, make sure that you DO NOT overstay that period. You can always scout around for a job or sponsorship on the internet from your home country. If someone wants you bad enough, they may pay to sponsor you. Depends on your skills, whether you have a degree, etc. It's not that easy to get a sponsorship with all these Americans out of work. I wish you the best.
