Legal Question in Immigration Law in Dominican Republic

Bringing my boyfriend from the Dominican Republic to the U.S.

I am a U.S. citizen and I want to bring my boyfriend of a year to live here with me in the U.S. What do I have to do to get him here in the least time possible? What forms do I need to fill out? How long do you think it will take for him to get here? Is there any information that I need to have available to prove our relationship? If so what is it?

Any help regarding this would really be appreciated.

Thank You,

Before I can answer all your questions I need the following answers: Is he planning to have his primary home in the U.S. with you? or is he planning to stay with you less than 90 days? Are you planning to get married? If Yes? When?

Best regards,

Dear Inquirer:

Yes, it is possible to bring your boyfriend here. However, there are several things we would need to know such as for what length of time? Are you planning to get married, if so when, and has your boyfriend ever been to the U.S. before? We suggest that you call us to set up an appointment so that we may answer your questions. We have many clients from the Dominican Republic and an employee from there also. We are fluent in Spanish and would be very happy to answer your questions. Please call us in Troy (248) 619-0065 or in Detroit at (313) 842-9361. Caridad Pastor Cardinale

You can file fiancee visa petition for your boy friend. He needs to marry after 90 days of entry with the fiancee visa and then file for permanent residency.

It usually takes around 1 year to get the fiancee visa. You can provide your picture together as well as your emails or letters to show your relationship.
