Legal Question in Disability Law in Florida

I am a PTSD sufferer working for a 30 person firm. I have provided documentation of my long-term PTSD and requested the accommodation of not being yelled at aggressively and berated, as it causes onset of symptoms and impairs my ability to work. The situation has aggravated my symptoms and is greatly impacting my personal relationships, sleep, etc.

My boss attempted to get me to lie and submit a resignation letter to another staff member. They will not fire me and continue to terrorize me. For various reasons, I cannot quit.

Can I legally submit a request for an accommodation to take my paid leave (2-3 days) to see my therapist? I expect they will deny my leave (although the days are available) and I will be forced to just not show up and see my doctors, what situation will this present? Can I be fired for taking the leave without their approval?

What kind of leave are you referring to? You would not get FMLA. Would need more information to answer these questions for you. Feel free to call my office to discuss further. Also, if you need further information about your employee legal rights check out our employee rights blog www.takethisjobnshoveitblog.com or www.behrenlaw.com.
