Business Law for Minors

I'm in Florida and under 18 years old. I want to start a business as a Limited Liability Company (LLC). I have the money for start up and whatnot.

1. Can I start a LLC while I'm under 18 years old?

2. If I do, will I be able to get a bank account for the business and the like (sign up for P.O. Boxes, etc)?

3. If not, can I start it as a partnership with an adult over 18 years old?

4. If I start it with a partner, can I still make money from it as a member?

Unless you are emancipated, you are not competent to enter into a contract except for necessaries like food. If your idea immediately makes money, you might be able to work something out. But otherwise, I think you will need an attorney to set something up to make this happen, protect you and protect your creditors and customers. Feel free to contact us on this.
