Business work contracts

I own a small co. we did installation work for a well recognized hotel in Miami Beach. The man in charge signed a note of agreement on fees and time of payment. Our invoces are past due and he told us that our payment is in his priority list, but nothing happens since completion last November 2008. I am threatening to go public and send letters to his clients, media and goverment. I want to be compensate for the time this collection will cost me. I had to pay my employees and supplies from my own pocket, therefore I am lossing revenue and I getting behind in some of my own debths to business associates, phone co. ect. How should I do that. I am planning to send them another bill for expenses accurred while I did not get pay.

You should contact an attorney experienced in construction lien cases. I used to work in this area of law in South Florida and am now in North Florida. However, I still have many contacts in the Miami area who do this work. If you contact my office I can give you a referral.
