Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Corporation Question

My husband started a corporation 5 years ago with his brother. My husband has not been active with the corporation for several years. We want to get my husbands name off the corporation because his brother is filing personal bankruptcy and he has been using the C&J--name removed--name. Is there a legal document and all parties can sign so we are not held legally responsible for anything his brother has done with the corporation? How do we get my husbands name off the corporation? Should be get a lawyer?

Re: Corporation Question

There are ways you can get your name off the corporation. If your brother is amenable to the change, it becomes much easier.

It is probably best to have an attorney help you with this procedure. If you would like to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to contact me at your convenience.
