Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Faulty equipment, fraud

I own a tractor and am leased to a trucking company in Miami, Fl. I pull there trailers throughout the US. They had recently (june 27) placed a driver into my truck. On July 1 he totaled the truck in Texas (jack-knifed) The trucking co did dispatch the truck with a load back here to Florida.

The trucking co failed to advise me that truck had an accident.. I found out 2 days later. I ask them to send a message to the driver to contact me but to no avail. I still have not had any contact with the driver, refuses to return calls.

The facts: The trailer has innsuficiant brakes and are way out of adjustment fed code 49 cfr 396 1 (5). I have a video showing this.

The truck was dispatched against federal laws (unsafe).

The trucking co will not release any driver info to me.

The trucking co is not sharing any information.

The driver was never authorized by me to drive the truck.

They are also holding all settlements due to me.

They also will not agree to have the trailer inspected by a 3rd party.

I am looking for someone in the local area to help with this situation.

There are also other issues with this co concerning money owed that I also need help with.

Thanks

JD
