Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Can I get paid for my idea?

I have an idea that I would like to present to Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. (TBS). It is specifically directed to their Turner Classic Movies TCM) channel. TCM owns a library of over 150,000 movie titles which forms the base of its broadcasting presentation. This is the largest assembly of movie titles anywhere, and, it is not being utilized to its full potential.

My idea is for TCM to create an interactive TV channel through which monthly subscribers could access this library and have the movies delivered instantly to a subscribers TV set, using the remote control as a search and selection tool.

By implementing this concept, TCM will, more than likely, become the #1 provider of home movie delivery, will maximize the earning potential of its library, and, will create an additional revenue source for TCM.

Verizon has a similar system in place, though its library consists of 600 movie titles and the delivery area is limited.

I havent invented anything new. My idea brings all the components of this system together and I wish to bring it to the attention of TCM.

Is there a legal basis, or contract, that allows me to be compensated for presenting this idea to TCM?

Thank you for your time and advice.

I think you are out of luck. It is not even a novel idea. As you note, others are doing it so I am sure that TMC is aware of the consept.
