Legal Question in Business Law in Florida

Trademark infringement???

I had recently purchased a domain name it is godaddybuy/com. I have it listed for sale on the godaddy website for 1000.00. I then got the folling letter today.

It has come to our attention that a domain name you have registered is infringing upon one or more of GoDaddy/com trademarks.

As you may be aware, GoDaddy/com is a registered trademark of GoDaddy/com. We are writing as a courtesy to inform you that your use of the term ''Go Daddy'' in your domain name or a domain name that is substantially the same or confusingly similar to the ''Go Daddy'' mark is likely to cause confusion in the marketplace and would therefore likely be construed as a violation of the GoDaddy/com trademark.

As a result, we would like to reimburse you for your purchase of this domain and transfer the domain into our control.

Please transfer the domain name to GoDaddy within 10 calendar days. The registrant fields should read as follows:

FirstName: GoDaddy/com, Inc.

LastName: GoDaddy/com, Inc.

Email: infringements@godaddy/com

CompanyName: GoDaddy/com.

Address1: 14455 North Hayden Road

Address2: Suite 226

City: Scottsdale

StateOrProvince: Arizona

ZipCode: 85260

Country: United States

Phone: (480) 505-8800

Is this right?

Re: Trademark infringement???

You definitely are infringing on their mark, the main mistake was putting it up for sale. They have a record of that and there's no point in trying to backtrack now. Give them the domain, but you might ask them to refund your money or most of it.
