Do i need a lawyer or there's nothing i can do?

I wrote a question about ''what should I do'' a few days ago pertaining to a car situation I'm having. I recently brought a car and now I'm going through some issue which I feel are unfair. I just want to know if I should persue getting a lawyer or not. My dealer took my car away b/c my car insurance was cancelled. However he told me to call him once I was able to talk with e insurnace people and get everuthing reconciled. After going through everything he let's me know that he's not going to give me the car and that I should not waste my money on reinstating the insurance. He said in order for me to probably, not guarantee but possibly get the car back I may need to pay for it in full or come up with a few thousand dollars where they may reason with me. Can u tell me is this possible? Did I just lose my car? I haven't been late on my car notes. Please help me..

I see no basis whatsoever for him to keep the car. It sounds like he is trying to rip you off. Try calling the police. He is using your car and appears to have no right at all to it. If the police don't help you, get a lawyer.
