Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Florida

Work place bulling/harrassment

What can one do regarding this issue when you cannot provide proof? It comes down to he said/ she said. I've been working for this company for over three years. In comes a new employee, who is quite clever, and has harrassed me and has the office manager & supervisor wrapped around thier little finger believing 'I'' am the one who is causing THEM grief!!! It is making me ill and extremly stressed. What am I to do?? I don't sleep well at night, am stressed at

work, and am extemly depressed. There is only so much 'ignoring' one can do! Help!

Thank you.

Re: Work place bulling/harrassment

Work place bullying by itself is not illegal unless it is motivated by an illegal factor such as race, age, gender, national origin, religion, disability, or retaliation for engaging whistleblowing or filing a discrimination complaint (or a few other categories). Start keeping a daily journal of the harassment and, when you are accused of something, do a written response and ask to have it put in your personnel file. If you believe the harassment is based on illegal discrimation, seek a consult with an employment attorney and/or file a charge of discrimination with the EEOC.
