Legal Question in Technology Law in Florida

use of my e-mail address and my home address

Ex daughter in law is using my e-mail address to junk (spam) and I am inundated daily with junk e-mails but to her personal name at my e-mail address. Also, she is making mostly medical bills and using my home address. I get her bills. I suspect her new drivers license has my address on it but how do I know for sure. Not sure of areas of law; suspect computer/tech law and perhaps a form of invasion of privacy? I appreciate any help you can provide.

If you are not the real party that has incurred these debts, then you are not legally liable for them. However, if she has stolen your identity, then you may need to consult an attorney to clear up the situation. Identity theft occurs when one person utilizes your personal information to enter into transactions without your consent, giving the third party the belief that it is in fact you who is acting. It is a very real problem nowadays and requires monitoring of your credit cards and credit reports from time to time.
