building contractor contract

i have a contract with a contractor and it states,install and finish wood flooring in master bedroom(owner furnishing wood flooring) and purchase and install tile(selected by owner) in kitchen, laundry, and mater bath. she says that she alotted $3300. and the job comes to $8100. am i responsible for the difference

The answer would depend on the terms and conditions of the contract. Your explanation of the contract does not specify how much you agreed to pay in the contract, nor does it specify for what. If the contract says that the contractor will furnish all labor for the $3,300.00 then that is what the contractor is obligated to do or they will be in breach. The contractor may have possible defenses, but I am only going based off of your facts, and have no idea why the contractor is asking for more money. E.g. just because it is costing the contractor more to perform is not a valid excuse.
