Legal Question in Consumer Law in Florida
what shall i do ? brought car to dealership three times to fix the same problem. Owner very rude to customer unwilling to hear customer concern regarding car, and problem still not fixed
1 Answer from Attorneys
Don't take the car back to the dealership for a 4th time. Take the car to another auto mechanic. Inform the other mechanic of both the problem which you believe exists and the fact that it has not been repaired by the dealership. Ask the mechanic to examine whether the dealership did any work to fix the problem and whether it looks like it was adequate work. If the mechanic thinks the dealer did not do any work or did negligent work, have him document that. If you believe based upon the assessment of the mechanic that you are entitled to a refund from the dealership for the costs you paid for the first 3 repairs, then ask them for a refund. If refused, have an attorney send the dealership a demand letter. If the demand is not met, consider filing a lawsuit against the dealership.
