Car Repossesion

After a car is repoed does the towing company have the right to charge to get personal property out? If so is there any legal way I can get them without paying the charge?

A recent state law imposed an inventory fee that towing companies could charge for their efforts in listing all personal property within the vehicle. Believe it or not, this law was passed to protect the consumer from all the theft that was going on by towing companies. In order to get the return of your personal property, you must pay the inventory fee.
