Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

collection rights

medical bills that payment arrangement had been made on were sent to

collection even though payments were being made to the accounts. The

collection agency reported the bills to the credit bureau as non payment

accounts.. My question is can a collection agency report to the credit bureau

Re: collection rights

Yes and NO. The main question is whether you have a written settlement agreement which demonstrates that they were not going to send the past due bills to a collection agency? If you have something in writing then you have a stronger case demonstrating that they should not be reporting on your credit file.

I believe it is possible that the issues you are facing are much more complex than just this medical payments. Do you have other credit problems? If so, please visit our web page or contact our office to discuss your situation further.
