Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

timeshare

purchased timeshare whilst on holiday. Pushed into sale.Information given at time differs to what we are being told now.

Stopped making payments in view of above. Keep getting phone calls/letters demanding payment and threatening legal action which will affect credit in UK. Never had credit problem in 25 years since starting work.

Need urgent help in this matter as no where to turn

I wanted to add to attorney Slater's response. It is best that you amicably settle this dispute in order to protect your credit. They do have the right to report the information to the credit reporting agencies and my experience is that they often do. Additionally, once you default on the contract, they may sell the debt to a third party debt collection agency.
