Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

i cosigned for my brother on a motorcycle and he is not making the payments. I called the lender and told him what was going on. I also called my brother, he said he sent the payments but after talking to the lender i know he was lying. He does not want to give me the bike even though i would make the payments. can i sue him for damages to my credit. What else can i do.

The only thing you can do in the short-term to preserve your credit is to make the payments if he doesn't make them. You can also file suit against him. However, the lender will continue to seek payment from both him and you as the co-signor.
