Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I cosigned for a student loan with my ex husband, The loan was sent to colloection and they are coming after me . How can I get out of it since my divorce documents specify that he is responsible for this loan ?

You can't. You are still responsible to them no matter what your divorce decree states.

Although I have to agree with David, it never hurts to try and discourage them from coming after you. Send them a copy of the decree and state you are not responsible per the Order of the court.

On a second note, file contempt/enforcement against your ex to make him refinance the loan and have you removed.
