Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I am facing 3 charges of "OBTAIN PROPERTY WITH WORTHLESS CHECK " in Marion County, FL from 2004. I now live in Vancouver, BC and due to my health, there is no way I can physically go to Florida to handle this. What are my options? Can I pay the debt and be done? How do I find a lawyer to help me for free, I am sick and disabled and broke.

Contact the State attorney's office in Marion County Florida and ask them if you can forward a certified cashier's check with the full amount owed under overnight express mail.

Call the state attorneys' office to try to resolve this. You may also call the public defenders office. The SA will probably want to get this off his books, so i would start there.

You could call the local Legal Aid organization as well. Also, you may attempt to settle the debt directly with the creditor.
