Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

garnishment

I won a judgment in Florida. However he is from a foreign country and spends only five months out of a year in Florida rest of the time he spends in foreign country. However he is employed and paid by a company located either in Los Angeles or Miami.

How shall I go about garnishing his wage if he is employed by a company located in Los Angeles or a company located in Miami. Could you also tell me any exemptions for low income earners? The defendant is single and he is not married.

Re: garnishment

I suggest you call for a consultation. In the alternative go the clerk of the court where you obtained the judgement and ask for the appropriate forms for a wage garnishment. You must also domesticate the judgment if the garnishment is to be effected in a jurisdaiction other than where the judgment was obtained.
