Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

To give you the jist of the situation. Basically, we had a civil lawsuit against someone. The insurance company interjected into our lawsuit and was able to proceed and get a judgement before us (the victims). The case # is the same and my name is also on their judgement filing. They have since decided to not pursue this person however they do have the judgement lien filed with the state of Florida first. If we do the leg-work to recover funds is there a way to get the funds disbursed equally among the parties, as opposed to waiting for their judgement to be satisfied before we can actually start collecting on our substantial judgement?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

In order to properly advise you we would need to review the judgment along with other relevant documents in connection with the lawsuit. Please contact our office at (305) 777-0411 if you wish to discuss this matter.

You would need to negotiate this with the insurance company. If it is a significant judgement, see an attorney in your area. Want to know the law?
