Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

I owe a local college just under $2,000.00 I went in the other day to pay in full. Apparently they have turned it over to a collection agency. They have refused my payment, but stated they would accept it if I added the collection fees to it.

If they refuse payment three times am I still going to owe them?

Contact the collection agency. Maybe you can negotiate a better deal.
