Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Florida

Statue of Limitations on fee's owned to an Attorney

An attorney that I used in 1988 contacted me regarding fees he says I still owe. This was 21 years ago . . . he said if I didn't pay they can garnish my wages, lien my residence, file a judgement against me.

I was not aware that there were any outstanding monies owed and was shocked to say the least. I have not received any bill over the years.

Please let me know what my rights are.

Thank you for your help.
