Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

I have sent 5 FB messages and 4 text messages, since February, to a woman my husband is involved with. All have been non-threatening. I called her husband twice last night. She has never asked me to stop contacting her or nor replied. This morning my sister received a message that her nephew is in the Illinois police dept. and has contacted the Fl. Police dept. Of course, I will not contact her anymore, but what legal actions could be filled????

Theoretically they could claim this arises to the level of misdemeanor stalking. It is probably in your best interests to cease sending messages or attempting to communicate.

You can potentially face a stalking charge which carries up to a year in jail (first degree misdemeanor). She could also seek an injunction against you. Cease all communication with her and preserve a copy of all the communication you already sent.
