1st offense
Can you tell me what my parents & my brother can expect on his arraignment hearing? My brother has been on crack for over 10yrs+ and committed a Robbery recently (no weapon) on a convenience store and got $200 but it was given to the officer when he was arrested. Will he get assigned an Public Defender/Attorney at the arraignment hearing? My brothers main problem is that he is a drug addict and can't seem to find get the kind of help he needs to kick the habit. If he tells the judge that it is because of the crack & drug use that he did this offense will it make a difference in his sentence?? I'm just trying to find some information for my parents. Thanks,

He will be appointed a pd. He should not say anything. His lawyer will do the talking. If your parents are interested in hiring a private to help him get help please give my office. Robbery is extremely serious.
