Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

aggravated battery with a deadly weapon...etc

My father In law was charged with several crimes..He has never been arrested before but aggravated assult with a deadly weapon,false imprisonment,carrying and firing a concelled weapon.he is out on bail until jury trial in aug...Is there a minumum jail time on these crimes or maybe just probation??thank you

In Fl they use a point system. If his points score prison then he must go to prison. If they dont score, he may get probation. Pls call if I can help. Valerie

If he was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm, there is a three year minimum mandatory regardless of what he scores out because of the offense level of the crimes charged. Please contact my office to further discuss issues related to your father in law's case.
