Re: driving without a license

Hello: I just read your question. Our normal procedure for these types of situations is to first get all of the facts from my client, then call the Judge to ask for the capias to be withdrawn and for a court date to be set.

We show up at the court date and ask what the State is offering. This is not a serious charge compared to other matters they usually handle. Of course, the offer from the State depends on whether you can get a valid license and whether or not you have any prior criminal cases. Generally, they offer a sentence of a withhold of adjudication of guilt and court costs. a withhold means it is not a conviction.

If my office can be of assistance to you in North Fla. please give us a call. Good luck. Tom Rosenblum
