Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

My ex g/f and I lived together (in Florida) for about 4 months and we separated in February 1 2013, we never entered in verbal or physical confrontation of any sort, no complains or police was ever summoned because of us while living together.after our separation my ex started a campaign of harrasment and accusations, she sent the police to my door in March and in April 2013 accusing me of stalking and harrasmenent, to stop that I relocated myself in middle of April to another state, 700+ miles away from her, well at the end of April I was charged with Stalking, harrasment and domestic violance, all misdemeanor charges and all false of course, the only reason those charges of domestic violance have been place there is to guarantee I will receive a high bail that as a retired on SS disability I won't be able to pay,and be forced tospend time in jail for a crime I never comitted, her new B/F is a Police officer who assisted in the investigation but did not filed the arrest warrant. I want to surrander myself to clear the whole thing up, but how can I do that without risking jail time, at my age and health condition (I had 3 strokes and a heart attack) I can't go to jail and I can't afford a lawyer as I use all I had to relocate to another state almost 3 weeks prior having a warrant issued on me, thank you

Often, when a person has no prior record, you will likely get released on your own recognizance. Furthermore, if you have no money, you will get appointed a public defender. While it is true that you will probably have to spend one night in jail, with the right attorney, you may be able to get out the next day. I suggest you call an attorney in the county where the warrant is located for more information.
