Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Can a jury convict you of robbery with a weapon and not state what weapon was used on jury verdict.

he was sentenced under 812.13 (2) (b) robbery with a weapon and from what i understand they use 790.001 (13) to determine the weapon under that statue. and a firearm can not be a weapon under that statue. PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND THIS. the only weapon that was mentioned was a firearm the victim stated the defendant stated i will shoot you and he felt a gun but never seen it. so my question is can a jury convict of robbery with a weapon but not state... any weapon. normally it would sat To Wit: car, knucles, etc.. but not a firearm.. JUDGE ALSO INSTRUCTED THE JURY THAT IT WAS A FIREARM THAT WAS USED

You're getting into some very thorny legal issues that can't really properly be addressed on this forum. Because of that I would suggest you contact an attorney in your area and set up a meeting with them to discuss those issues.
