Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Juvenile Son

He is charged with burglary of a dwelling. He stood outside but didn't enter or as he says act as a look out but the five other juveniles said he did. Can we plead to a lesser charge such as accesory?

Re: Juvenile Son

Hello: I do not know enough about his case to tell you what his prospects are. If he has an attorney, he/she should ask the State Attorney for plea negotiations. Even if he stood outside, under Fla. law he could be charged with the same crime as the others. The State has to prove he had knowledge a crime was going to happen. If he has no prior record, the State and court may offer him less of a sentence than the others. 'Hope this helps. Tom Rosenblum
