i was in school and my teacher pulled me out of class and told me to take my stuff with me, i was told that i smelt like pot so a police officer was there and asked me if i had smoked i said no but another boy was with me and said yes we did smoke so the cop asked to seach my boyfriends car and i said no and my boyfriend said no but the cop made me give him my keys and he searched the car and found 1 joint i was arrested for possesion of marijuana under 20g. Is it legal for him to seach my boyfriends car? ive been being told yes and no because of the car being in a school zone.

Cops cannot search cars just because they are in school zones.
