Legal Question in Criminal Law in Florida

Plea deal

Thank you for answering my question about mitigation of sentence. I know it is rare but can it hurt to try? Could you possibly get more time? Once a plea is offered and accepted by the offender is it legal after 6 wks to, in essence, blackmail the mother and demanding 2,000 of his restitution or she can pull the plea? I am physically sick, unable to work, therefore have no more money for a legal defense. Can you trace a check through the state attorney's office to make sure the money did reach the victim's wife?

Thank you,

Cindy

Re: Plea deal

No he cant get more time. I would not worry about the check unless someone claims its not paid. A victim can decide not to agree to a plea unless all her demands including restitution are addressed.

Re: Plea deal

Until the court accepts the plea, the offer can be withdrawn.
