Posession of Marijuana under 20 grams
On 4/19/07 I was at a park down the street from my house. I was 17 years old, and my birthday was 4/20/07. So this took place a little after midnight. Cop's came and begun to flash their lights, and I threw the bag of weed(maybe 3 grams) on the ground. The police officer said he saw me take something out of my pockets, and I admitted that it was mine. The officer made me sign a piece of paper that said I was agreeing to appear in court. He said I would receive the court date/info in the mail. I never received anything, and I tried to contact the PD but they said I did not have any charges. I figured the cops were just trying to scare me, so I let it go. I found out yesterday that I had a warrant out for my arrest and bail bond of $2000 for missing my court date that I did not know about. I have already turned myself in and now I have a court date in March. Any advice or help please???

1) Get a good criminal lawyer immediately. 2) Make sure you appear at your court dates.
