prescription drug possession

i was stopped and charged with reckless driving and an open container of beer.upon a search of my vechicle they discovered one and a half xanax pills in a decorative pill bottle. i didn't have my prescription with me so i was charged for felony possession without a prescription and spent the night in jail.how do i go about getting these charges dropped.
