possible sentences
20 yr-old arrested for stealing $365 from place of work in cash and gift cards. First offense. What possible sentences will he reveive.

Thats a third degree felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison

He may be able to receive PTI. PTI is a program that is like probation before the fact. If an offender successfully completes the program the charge is dropped resulting in no criminal record. You may be able to approach the employer about dropping the charges. I would be careful about doing that, though. If it is not received the right way it could make matters worse.
